Paris and Manna’s Love Story

Paris and Manna first met when Paris had taken a new job opportunity at Manna’s workplace. Their different worlds and backgrounds were set aside and they knew their instant connection was something special. From Manna showing up the morning after their first date with roses, to the moment he proposed over a romantic dinner cruise at sunset - the romance never died.
They were incredibly generous in sharing all the details of their proposal, love story and wedding with us!
Q. All great love stories have a beginning, so tell us yours! How did you meet?
A. (Paris) I had taken a new job opportunity and a huge change in my life not expecting to meet someone that just got me. We became so close working most shifts together and could sit and talk for hours after work had finished. It was an instant connection. I thought this guy is just as cheeky as me. We had come from two different worlds and backgrounds, but we knew it was something special. After our first date Manna showed up to my house with my favourite coloured roses a day later. We started dating on the down low as we were colleagues but after about a month it was evident this was us, and there wasn’t any going back. We worked side by side for 6 months before we left for other opportunities to do bigger things for our future.
Q. We're in the business of proposals, and never get tired of hearing your stories: tell us all about the moment you popped the question!
A. Manna surprised me with a romantic dinner cruise on the Gold Coast gondolas with sparkling wine, dinner and chocolates. A beautiful sunset cruise. He managed to get down on one knee inside the gondola to propose. His speech brought tears to my eyes. Whilst I knew he had the ring, as we did choose it together, the proposal was still a complete surprise!
Q. It's been an honour to play a small part in your love story so far. What made you choose The Moissanite Company and how did you decide on your ring design?
A. I loved the Moissanite company for their ethics and bringing something different to the market. I love the fact it was an alternative to a diamond and something unique. I didn’t really know much about moissanite until I started following the company and then did my own research. It was so interesting to know the history behind the science of the recreation of a moissanite, and how it was originally mistaken for a Diamond. I loved the affordability for a dreamy ring with maximum sparkle. I chose the Luise ring for something unique but elegant - the compliments are endless.
Q. You've chosen to spend the rest of your lives together, so what is it that you love most about each other & your relationship?
A. I definitely love the fact we can both annoy each other to the max but still be best friends full of love. We can just laugh at each other without needing a reason. With Manna originating from India, learning different customs and a different language is just incredible and it keeps our relationship growing. It’s amazing to have mixed our cultures, food and friends.
Q. While you might be still soaking in the proposal love bubble, have you made any plans for your wedding? We'd love to hear all about it!
A. Yes, the big Indian wedding. We spent 8 weeks over in Punjab. The culture, traditions, clothes and food was like nothing in this world. We did a traditional Sikh marriage with a western twist. Wedding festivities went for about 4 days but the main wedding reception and ceremony lasted one day. A day to remember. Indian weddings involve lots of food, music and dancing. Indian culture definitely knows how to make you feel special in the lead up to your marriage. Stressful to plan from Australia to India however.
